Phynd Achieves ISO 27001 Certification

January 24, 2019

Phynd Technologies, a health care provider information management platform, recently announced that the company has achieved ISO 27001 certification, one of the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standards. Earning ISO 27001 certification signifies that Phynd adheres to stringent security controls for delivery and support of its cloud-based software and related services.

“This certification reflects Phynd’s foundational commitment to the highest security management principles, as well as our success in managing risk and protecting data assets on behalf of our clients,” said Tom White, CEO, Phynd. “ISO 27001 certification is a very stringent process, and achieving it reflects our quality and security commitments to clients.”

The ISO 27001 standard defines the requirements of an Information Security Management System (ISMS). Certification demonstrates that an organization’s information security is managed in line with international best practices.

“Phynd is pleased to have achieved the ISO 27001 certification,” said Prashant Gharpure, CTO, Phynd. “Achieving the highest standards of compliance is further validation of the trust our clients place in Phynd as a central source of detailed, high-quality provider information for workflows managed by EHR and other systems.”

An independent audit firm validated Phynd’s security compliance and required Phynd to demonstrate its ability to effectively secure and protect sensitive information. The ISO 27001 certification attests that Phynd maintains strict controls and processes to ensure that security policies are followed throughout the organization's cloud operations.

“Phynd is used by health systems’ teams to enroll, manage, report on and search for providers, ensuring robust and accurate provider information for mission-critical processes,” said White. “Cybersecurity is a top priority for clients’ information security leaders. Achieving ISO 27001 certification strengthens our position as a company that follows strict information security protocols, and it underscores our commitment to protecting all client data assets managed by our software."
