MyEyeDr Focuses on Vonage

By Paula Bernier
April 20, 2018

Vonage is always on the lookout for new customers and it works hard to keep existing ones. In a recent example of the latter, the service provider has extended its relationship with MyEyeDr. The national optometry services provider has chosen Vonage to provide cloud-based solutions for its 6,000 employees.

This engagement has Vonage providing a healthcare-focused unified communications-as-a-service solution, a contact center offering, MPLS connectivity to help MyEyeDr meet HIPAA requirements, and the Vonage SmartWAN SD-WAN. SmartWAN provides automatic packet routing across multiple connections and ensures quality of service over a range of connections, including broadband internet links.

Initially, these offerings with serve more than 370 MyEyeDr locations. Over the next three years that will expand to 600 locations.

In addition to these services, Vonage has assigned MyEyeDr an Enterprise Service Management Director and team to ensure the customer has a positive experience.

"As a longstanding customer, we have a deep level of trust in Vonage, not only as our business communications provider, but as a partner that is equally focused on creating a better and more personalized experience for our patients," said Alex Healey, Senior IT Manager, MyEyeDr. "Vonage provides the reliability, network and service quality and security, helping healthcare providers like us keep communications at our offices running smoothly, secure, and with innovative technology that enables us to have deeper, more meaningful relationships with our patients."

BT, RingCentral, 8x8, West, and Fuze are the unified communications as a service leaders, according to 2016’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide. Gartner put Microsoft, Google, Verizon, AT&T, and NTT Communications (Arkadin) in the UCaaS challengers quadrant. Interoute, ShoreTel, and Star2Star are considered niche UCaaS players. And Gartner considers Mitel, Orange Business Services, and Vonage as the UCaaS industry’s visionaries.
